WALKING TO SUCCESS

Walking aloneto success can be unfulfilling, scary, limiting, and boring. An African proverb wisely says, “When you walk alone, you go quickly, but when you walk together, you go farther.”

Many people who achieve success and hide the path from others are only limiting themselves and their potential. Real successful people often go along with others who are also ready to thrive (emphasis on ‘ready to thrive’). The idea that human nature is inherently selfish is a mindset that can be shifted.

A young man received a link to apply for a scholarship. He didn’t have a need for it because it wasn’t his field, but he immediately shared it with his friend who needed it. He didn’t just share the link; he also encouraged him to apply and offered to help with the process. Years later, this same friend sponsored the young man’s first project because he was in an advantaged position.

The question is: “What if he had kept the opportunity to himself?”

…and you? When you are shown the path to success, gratitude should be your payment currency.

The truth is; no one finds real and sustained success alone.

By helping others and working together, we can achieve more than we ever could alone. Let’s illuminate the path to success for others, so we can go farther and brighter together!
